ViscoRide Maintenance:

Our oldest track in Australia is nearly eleven years old and still in daily use. Track life is mainly determined by the quality of maintenance and the number of horses.

Wet Weather:

ViscoRide is a water repelling material. ViscoRide drains well and there is no need to don anything before or after a downpour. When new it may hold pockets of water on the surface in hoof imprints and depressions. These do not affect riding conditions.

Contamination:

Every effort should be made to avoid contamination. Horse droppings, grass cuttings and other deleterious matter should be removed as far as is practically possible. Care should be taken to prevent sand from blowing onto the surface from adjacent sand tracks or surfaces.

This track was tyre rolled prior to a heavy downpour. Note the quality of the hoof prints on the ViscoRide track compared to the “slush” on the adjacent tracks.
